We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to manage our electrical networks. As a Control Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our systems. You will be responsible for managing safety, system integrity, customer service, and coordinating system access while ensuring compliance with ScottishPower Licence. Additionally, you will facilitate change necessary within Customer Services Delivery as the distribution network transitions to Net Zero.

The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, ability to form strong working relationships across all business areas and at all levels, proven aptitude for using and developing new IT solutions, and ability to co-ordinate a broad range of complex tasks and devise solutions. You will also be required to work with new and existing generation partners to utilise flexibility service arrangements and Distribution Restart Zone partnerships. Furthermore, you will review and investigate system performance following major incidents and faults, provide advice and support on technical matters relating to the network, and approve and control all outage and network access requests ensuring risk to network and system security is minimised.

The salary for this role is up to £70,000 per annum plus strong benefits package and excellent career progression opportunities/support. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a HNC with relevant experience or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Previous Control Room knowledge/experience, detailed distribution and/or network knowledge, operational experience, and PowerOn/SCADA experience (advantageous) are also essential requirements.
