About the Role:
Bruin seeks an experienced Risk Analyst VP - Funds Expert to join their risk management team. This critical position involves evaluating and recommending credit limits for hedge funds and regulated funds counterparties, ensuring accurate credit risk modeling and measurement, and developing strategic solutions for mitigating credit risk. A deep understanding of the financial sector, risk management principles, and relevant regulatory frameworks is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the evaluation and recommendation of credit limits for hedge funds and regulated funds counterparties.
  • Develop and maintain the EMEA portfolio, including annual reviews of existing limits and counterparties.
  • Engage with hedge fund clients through periodic counterparty due diligence calls.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Analytics Group to refine credit risk modeling and measurement methodologies.
  • Create innovative solutions for transaction structures and credit risk-related terms/conditions.
  • Present complex financial data and recommendations to senior management for discussion and approval.
  • Ensure accuracy in trading documentation, reflecting effective credit risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably in the financial sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing traded products' portfolios, including OTC derivatives, securities lending/borrowing, and repo transactions.
  • Proven experience in opining to legal documentation from a credit perspective.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing credit risk management.
  • Exceptional analytical skills for evaluating hedge funds and regulated funds credit profiles.
  • Familiarity with key regulatory requirements, credit/market risk principles, and credit rating assignment methodologies.
