Job Summary

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a skilled Test Fitter to join our team in a heavy manufacturing environment. As a Test Fitter, you will be responsible for working on pumps for Original Equipment and Aftermarket orders, including installation, commissioning, testing, and dismantling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install pumps and ancillary equipment for testing, including setting out and securing temporary foundations, pipework installation, and rotor alignment.
  • Participate in operational tests by controlling test parameters such as temperatures and pressures within acceptable limits.
  • Identify and report any non-conformances through appropriate channels and work with others to resolve issues.
  • Break down temporary test arrangements and store equipment away according to departmental procedures.
  • Perform maintenance activities on test department equipment to ensure maximum reliability and availability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve safety, drive down costs, and increase productivity.
  • Work in other assembly areas when required and collaborate with managers and test department personnel to implement company policies and goals.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines and provide on-going support and training to peers and apprentices as needed.
Requirements
  • Time served Mechanical Fitter with at least 3 years relevant experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Challenging attitude and safety mindset to manage risks within the test environment.
  • Experience with rotating equipment and laser alignment is advantageous.
  • Understanding and experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Demonstratable experience of working within a team to execute tasks in a timely manner to achieve goals under tight timeframes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance up to SC level.
