Test Fitter

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a skilled Test Fitter to join our team. As a Test Fitter, you will be responsible for working on pumps for Original Equipment and Aftermarket orders, including installation, commissioning, testing, and dismantling.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation of pumps and ancillary equipment, including setting out and securing temporary foundations, pipework installation, and rotor alignment.
- Participating in operational tests by controlling various aspects of the test parameters, such as temperatures and pressures.
- Highlighting non-conformances and working with others to resolve issues.
- Breaking down temporary test arrangements and storing equipment away as per departmental procedures.
- Performing maintenance activities on test department equipment to ensure maximum reliability and availability.
- Participating in continuous improvement activities to improve safety, drive down costs, and increase productivity.
- Time served Mechanical Fitter with at least 3 years relevant experience, preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Challenging attitude and safety mindset to manage risks within the test environment.
- Experience with rotating equipment and laser alignment is advantageous.
- Understanding and experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Demonstratable experience of working within a team to execute tasks in a timely manner to achieve goals under tight timeframes.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbally.
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance up to SC level.
- Ability to work with moderate noise in an open-planned office or individual office.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
- Ability to sit in a car or on a plane for extended periods.
