About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commis Chef to join our team at Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for working closely with our team of 16 chefs and 5 Kitchen Porters to deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes to rosette standard
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and dishes
  • Work flexible shifts, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, as well as weekend working
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of quality and consistency
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a high-quality hotel kitchen environment
  • Strong passion for creating delicious dishes using fresh, local ingredients
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
