The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality food for all service periods, including the Restaurant, Brasserie, Fine dining, Bar food, Room Service, and Afternoon tea.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce food to the highest standards, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Assist with daily/weekly orders for food and kitchen supplies, adhering to stock control procedures.
- Receive and store food and non-food items, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Support the Head and Sous Chef with menu planning, composition, and design.
- Deputise for the Head Chef/Sous Chef in their absence, supervising the kitchen and attending meetings.
- Practice effective teamwork and communication with colleagues and other departments.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and food hygiene, health, and safety systems.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence, striving to exceed standards and improve quality.
Requirements
- Work 5 shifts per week, 40 hours per week, with paid overtime.
- Demonstrate the ability to produce plated dishes to a rosette standard during a trial shift.
- Hold experience managing multi-menu requirements.
- Live locally or have the ability to relocate to the area with own transportation.
