Plant Maintenance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance professional to join our team as a Plant Maintenance Manager. This is a permanent position based in the Somerset / Wiltshire border area.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems within a plant or manufacturing environment.
- Lead a small team of fitters and work with contractors onsite to ensure the plant operates efficiently.
- Develop and implement proactive maintenance plans to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with H&S and legal regulations.
- Manage team coverage, including day and night shifts, and have some budgetary responsibility.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a heavy plant or quarry environment.Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with contractors and other stakeholders.What We Offer:This is a full-time position working typically Monday to Friday (48 hours per week contracted) with some flexibility in working arrangements. The salary for this position is between £48,000 and £53,000, depending on experience and suitability for the role. There may be some scope to exceed this for an exceptional candidate. There is also the ability to work overtime and a bonus scheme that pays roughly 2% of salary on an annual basis, along with a generous pension scheme and holiday allowances.
