Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team at Commify. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and execution of automated tests.
Key Responsibilities- Automated Test Development: Develop and execute automated tests across our platform range, ensuring seamless integration and reliability.
- API Testing: Test key internal APIs, ensuring data loading and extraction processes are accurate and efficient.
- Test Planning and Strategy: Implement test planning and strategy techniques for projects, contributing to discussions that improve test planning and strategy for the team.
- Test Automation Framework: Design, build, and deploy automated tests that monitor and assure the performance of our core platforms.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and senior automation testers to ensure tests are created at the appropriate tier in the agile testing pyramid.
- Test Results Analysis: Monitor automated test results, diagnosing and resolving failed tests as a priority as part of our CI process.
- Strong SQL Skills: Possess strong SQL skills and experience testing APIs, Postman, and Insomnia using simple, maintainable tests.
- Automated Testing Experience: Have experience writing automated tests using NUnit, SpecFlow, Playwright, or a similar framework.
- Agile Environment: Have experience working in an agile environment and understanding of agile methodologies such as TDD, BDD, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Defect Tracking Management: Have experience with defect tracking management tools such as JIRA/TFS/Bugzilla/ALM.
- Test Techniques: Possess intermediate knowledge of different test techniques and when to use them.
- C# Skills: Have a working knowledge of C# and regression testing.
- Time Management: Be able to manage timescales and report any concerns to project managers/stakeholders.
- Cloud Testing Experience: Have experience testing in cloud environments such as VSTS, Azure, and AWS.
- Transaction Messaging Experience: Have experience testing SMS, IP messaging, or other transactional messaging in a high throughput environment.
- CI Tools: Have experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, CircleOne, or Azure DevOps.
- Business Driven Development: Have an understanding of Business Driven Development principles.
