About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Summer Lane Nursing Home in Weston Super Mare. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal support and care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities
  • Aid residents with emotional well-being and social needs, promoting a sense of community and belonging
  • Support residents during meal times, ensuring their nutritional needs are met
  • Develop and maintain resident care plans, working closely with the care team to ensure individualized care
About You

We are looking for a caring and empathetic individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional care. As a Care Assistant, you will be expected to:

  • Work night shifts, including weekends, on a rota basis
  • Engage effectively with residents, their families, and the care team
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully, both verbally and in writing
  • Have a basic understanding of dementia and its effects
  • Hold a relevant qualification, such as an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or be willing to work towards this
