Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Specialist System Engineering Manager to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the MEP services delivery, health & safety, and subcontractor performance and wellbeing. You will liaise with the client, main contractor, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Specialist System Engineering Manager, you will:
- Lead the production of logic-linked programmes, preconstruction, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop and implement project health & safety strategies, ensuring compliance with Mace processes and project requirements.
- Coordinate the auditing of installation works to ensure compliance with project strategies and plans.
- Manage and sequence supply chain and internal resources in line with programme requirements.
- Lead the management of subcontractor health and safety documentation, ensuring validity and compliance.
- Coordinate the management of auditing of supply chain works onsite, ensuring compliance with approved RAMS.
- Produce commissioning strategies, manage close-out items for packages, and coordinate the management and close-out of commissionability reports.
- Lead attendance at commissioning meetings, ensuring detailed knowledge of programme, issues, and resolutions.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Detailed knowledge of mechanical or electrical installation techniques, best practices, and single system and integrated critical path commissioning requirements.
- Detailed knowledge of construction build elements, including sequencing and dependencies.
- CSCS management card and SMSTS certification.
- Completion of a trade or technical apprenticeship within the building services bias, achieving a BTECH Level 3/HNC and NVQ or equivalent.
- Experience in managing and leading project teams on small or medium-sized projects.
