Contract Manager

Morrison Energy Services is seeking a skilled Contract Manager to lead the delivery of projects on our UK Power Networks Contract in Colchester. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing the programme of works, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and technical compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and support to the project delivery team
- Represent the company in client meetings and correspondence
- Ensure progress tracking and demonstration
- Contribute to the MES project governance process
- Assist in scoping new projects and creating project delivery programmes
- Ensure compliance with MES procedures and legislation
- Encourage innovation and cost-effective working methods
- Plan and programme current and future works
- Participate in Cost Value Reconciliation
- Support the Design Manager in establishing design programmes
- Ensure adequate staffing for project delivery
- Provide input into estimating and tender processes
- Participate in the senior leadership team on the contract
- Manage the welfare of team members
- Ensure staff have necessary training and competencies
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in large programmes of capital delivery
- Sound understanding of engineering policy, procedure, and legislation
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead a team
- Able to identify and develop processes to improve outputs and measure success
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement
- Creating a culture that embraces inclusion and diversity
- Experience in HV power engineering (desirable)
