We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team at Select Tech Group in Truro. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager and Regional Store Manager in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Champion the Store Team Members (STMs) and provide mentoring, coaching, and direction to ensure they meet their targets and KPIs.
- Support the delivery of the Company's expected levels of customer service and ensure the store's merchandising meets expectations.
- Manage the STMs' appearance, performance, and attendance, and work with the Store Manager and Regional Store Manager to address any issues.
- Work in conjunction with the Store Manager to enable the store to exceed its targets and KPIs, and be creative in motivating the STMs to reach and exceed their targets.
- Ensure the shop floor is always ready to trade and take pride in the appearance of the front of house areas, benches, pods, and furniture.
- Manage and oversee customer complaints and returns, and escalate them to the correct level of management or department as needed.
- Actively develop the skills and techniques of the STMs through regular training, coaching, and 1-2-1 reviews.
- Passion and drive to succeed and meet required standards and targets.
- Emotional intelligence to handle situations with the right character and temperament.
- Experience of managing people and retail experience.
- Ability to engage and encourage staff to grow, develop, and succeed.
- Trustworthiness, loyalty, and hard work.
- Confidence to sell the right products to customers and understand their needs and wants.
- Ability to work within set parameters and ensure the STMs do the same.
