Social Work Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Work Specialist to join our team as an Independent Reviewing Officer. As a key member of our Children's Assessment Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in foster care.
Salary and Benefits: The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £25-30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a range of benefits, including a Kindle Fire upon commencement of contract, £20 Amazon voucher for registration within 2 weeks, free access to online training worth £500 a year, and more.
Key Responsibilities: Your primary responsibilities will include providing a comprehensive reviewing service for foster carers, undertaking reviews following complaints or allegations, preparing high-quality reports, and ensuring accurate records are kept. You will also take a lead in monitoring foster carer reports, attend regular review panels, and prepare an IRO report for the Fostering Service annual report.
Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must hold a DipSW or equivalent, be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Children's Social Work team is also required.
