About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Team Leader to join our Children and Families team at Devon County Council. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting our social work teams to deliver high-quality services to children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of social workers to achieve excellent outcomes for children and families.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve practice and service delivery.
- Provide supervision and guidance to social workers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services.
- Work closely with other teams and partners to ensure a seamless service delivery.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure they are effective and efficient.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and skilled professional who has a strong understanding of social work practice and the ability to lead and manage a team. You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality services and improving practice.
Requirements
- Qualified social worker with significant post-qualifying experience.
- Experience of leading and managing a team of social workers.
- Strong understanding of social work practice and the ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and partners.
