We're looking for a Senior Media Streaming Backend Engineer to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in leading the development and optimization of our streaming technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Media Streaming Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining our media streaming platform, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and technologies.
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in media streaming technologies and applying this knowledge to improve our platform.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on media streaming technologies.
  • Proficiency in Go and experience with additional programming languages such as Scala.
  • Strong understanding of audio/video codecs, streaming protocols (HLS, DASH), and transport container technologies.
  • Proven experience with microservices architecture, databases, and automated testing, coupled with a strong background in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Deep understanding of cloud-based platforms, (e.g. AWS S3, ECS, Lambda, CloudFront), and hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Expertise in monitoring, analytics, and ensuring high availability of distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with content protection and encryption technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
