As a Senior Media Streaming Backend Engineer, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to building, deploying, and maintaining a cutting-edge media streaming platform.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead the development and optimization of our streaming technologies, ensuring that our platform provides the best possible playback experience for our users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and services that meet the evolving needs of our users.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of audio/video codecs, streaming protocols (HLS, DASH), and transport container technologies.
  • Work closely with our infrastructure team to ensure that our platform is scalable, secure, and highly available.
  • Design and implement monitoring and analytics tools to ensure that our platform is performing optimally.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in media streaming technologies and apply this knowledge to improve our platform.

**Requirements**

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on media streaming technologies.
  • Proficiency in Go is essential, and experience with additional programming languages such as Scala is highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of audio/video codecs, streaming protocols (HLS, DASH), and transport container technologies.
  • Proven experience with microservices architecture, databases, and automated testing, coupled with a strong background in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Deep understanding of cloud-based platforms, (e.g. AWS S3, ECS, Lambda, CloudFront), and hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Expertise in monitoring, analytics, and ensuring high availability of distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with content protection and encryption technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
