Janes, a leading provider of open-source intelligence, seeks an experienced Defence Solutions Sales Professional to join its UK Sales Team.

About the Role

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for generating revenue growth by identifying and developing business opportunities within the UK Government, Defence, and National Security sectors.

Your primary objective will be to establish and maintain relationships with existing customers, as well as prospecting for new ones, to deliver data-centric intelligence products and services that meet their evolving needs.

This challenging role requires a deep understanding of the Defence and National Security environments, coupled with excellent sales and business development skills. What You'll Do
  • Sell data-centric intelligence products and services to customers within the UK Government, Defence, and National Security sectors.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through effective relationship-building and strategic planning.
  • Work closely with the UK Sales Team, Customer Success Managers, Product, Marketing, and Demand Generation teams to create and manage lead-generation action plans.
  • Provide expert-level support to customers, articulating Janes' value proposition and tailoring solutions to meet their unique needs.

Requirements

  • Proven sales/business development experience in the UK Defence and/or National Security environments.
  • High level of subject knowledge, expertise, and networks within the UK Defence and National Security sectors.
  • Understanding of the UK Intelligence cycle and processes, especially in the 'C4ISR' capability areas.
  • Knowledgeable on UK Defence procurement processes.
  • Strong communication skills, well organised, flexible, resilient, and a positive mind-set.
  • Capability to develop and articulate an understanding of Janes Group UK Limited's value proposition.
  • University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • UK Security Clearance, SC minimum.

  • An estimated salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
