About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Solo Support Services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with a learning disability, providing personal care, nutrition, and hydration, as well as assisting with daily physical and social activities.

About the Individual

The individual we support has a range of needs, including personal care, mobility, and communication. They require support with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and using the toilet, as well as assistance with meal preparation and medication management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a calm, caring, and patient nature, with excellent communication skills. You will also need to be able to work as part of a team, providing support and assistance to the individual as needed.

In return for your dedication and hard work, you will receive a competitive rate of pay, as well as a range of benefits, including:

  • Hourly rate - £ per hour rising to per hour at 3 month's service, then £ per hour upon successfully passing training competencies and probationary period at 6 month's service.
  • Time and a half paid for bank holidays and double pay for Christmas.
  • Contracted hours and bank hours are available.
  • Shadow shifts paid at £12 per hour.
  • Full training will be provided, including Oliver McGowan Training, Positive Behaviour Support Level 1&2, Intensive Interaction Training, and Sensory Processing.
  • weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).
  • Company pension scheme after 3 months' service, subject to the scheme rules.
