The Daytime Support Worker will play a vital role in supporting students to access the curriculum and promoting their welfare. The successful candidate will be expected to embody the service\u2019s vision, values, and purpose, ensuring that service users are at the centre of everything implemented and integrated.

The purpose of this role is to improve the education and lives of pupils. The successful candidate will be required to carry out duties at all College premises, some of which are located a distance from the main College sites. While driving is preferred, it is not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide support to students with increasingly complex needs, including intimate personal care and challenging behaviour.
  • To undertake relevant training, including the dispensing of medication to students, acting as a first aider, and managing challenging behaviour.
  • To provide additional support to tutors or students who are experiencing difficulties, with the aim of enabling as many students as possible to participate appropriately in their timetabled sessions.
  • To be mindful and proactive in monitoring the physical appearance of the College site, including picking up litter, weeds, dirty windows, and cleaning toilets as requested.
