Contract PHP Developer Opportunity

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a skilled Contract PHP Developer to join their client's development team. This is a 6-month initial contract with the possibility of extension.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain software-based products using PHP 5.0 or 7.0 (MVC)
  • Enhance existing systems and functionality with innovative solutions
  • Oversee the programming and technical development of products and services
Essential Technical Attributes:
  • Proficient in PHP programming with experience in Object Oriented programming and design patterns
  • Strong understanding of Unit Tests and experience with PHP Frameworks (e.g. Zend, Codeigniter)
  • Comfortable working with legacy code and projects: Vanilla PHP
  • Hands-on knowledge of using MYSQL or Microsoft SQL SERVER
  • Experience with administrating Apache and working in a Unix/Linux environment
Nice to Have Technical Attributes:
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Agile environments (e.g. SCRUM or Kanban)
  • Knowledge of internet technologies (Java, Web Services, SOAP, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax)
  • Relational database design and experience with GIT source control
  • Secure coding experience and familiarity with Jira/Stash/Confluence
