Contract PHP Developer Opportunity

Spectrum IT's client is seeking a skilled Contract PHP Developer to join their development team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the client's software-based products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the programming and technical development of products and services
  • Bring a creative but practical approach to maintaining and enhancing software-based products
  • Work with a team to design, build, test, deliver, and support web-based products and services

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of programming PHP 5
  • Experience of Object Oriented programming and design patterns
  • Thorough understanding and experience in writing Unit Tests
  • Experience of PHP Frameworks (e.g. Zend, Codeigniter)
  • Comfortable working on legacy code and projects (Vanilla PHP)
  • Hands-on knowledge of using either MYSQL or Microsoft SQL SERVER
  • Experience of working in a Unix/Linux environment
  • Worked in an Agile environment (e.g. SCRUM or Kanban)
  • Experience of internet technologies (Java, Web Services, SOAP, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax)
  • Relational database design
  • Secure coding experience

About the Role:

This is an OUTSIDE IR35 role, 6 month initial contract with opportunity to extend. The role is a hybrid working arrangement with 2-3 days per week in the Client's office in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
