Site Services Engineer

Lakeland Dairies is seeking a highly skilled Site Services Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Newtownards. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of core site services, including the wastewater treatment plant, to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime at the lowest overall cost.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and report on key performance targets for services availability and energy reduction
- Deliver improvements on services availability and energy reduction
- Ensure completion of all planned/reactive maintenance in accordance with regulatory and food safety/customer requirements
- Embrace the principle of continuous improvement within the Operational Excellence and Asset Care Programmes to achieve site objectives
- 5 GCSEs including at least grade C in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Recognised apprenticeship (educated to Level 3 Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering with substantial post-qualification experience in a maintenance environment)
- Desirable: HNC, HND, or degree-level education in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
- Experience in site mechanical and electrical services, steam generation, water services, CHP, Cooling Towers, HVAC, fire system, WWTP (daf), LV electrical systems, and compressed air
- Desirable: experience within food manufacturing, L8 legionella training, and IOSH/NEBOSH safety qualification
- Supervisory experience of contractors is essential
