The company operates modern dairy manufacturing facilities in 8 locations on a cross-border basis and exports products to over 100 countries worldwide.
The RoleWe are seeking a Site Services Engineer to join our Engineering Team in our Newtownards office. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operation of core site services, including the wastewater treatment plant, and will be responsible for monitoring, reporting, and delivering improvements on key performance targets for services availability and energy reduction.
The Site Services Engineer will also ensure completion of all planned/reactive maintenance in accordance with all regulatory and food safety/customer requirements and will fully embrace the principle of continuous improvement within the Operational Excellence and Asset Care Programmes to achieve site objectives.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have 5 GCSEs, including at least grade C in English and Maths, and a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering with substantial post-qualification experience in a maintenance environment.
A HNC, HND, or degree-level education in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering would be advantageous, as would experience in site mechanical and electrical services, steam generation, water services, CHP, Cooling Towers, HVAC, fire system, WWTP (daf), LV electrical systems, and compressed air.
Experience within food manufacturing would be desirable, as would L8 legionella training and IOSH/NEBOSH safety qualification. Supervisory experience of contractors is essential.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build relationships as part of a team, and will be computer literate with Microsoft Office. Experience with an asset maintenance system would be desirable.
