Make a Difference in the Lives of Young People

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at Family Care Group as a Residential Childcare Worker. In this role, you will have the opportunity to forge meaningful relationships with the young people and their families, working closely with your team and other professionals to ensure each individual receives the support they need to thrive.

As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will be part of a therapeutic model that focuses on providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people. You will work alongside our therapists to develop and implement personalized care plans, helping each young person to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the care planning process for children and young people
  • Attend and participate in supervision sessions and appraisal processes
  • Represent the company in a professional manner, upholding the highest standards of care and support
  • Participate in training programs and individual training courses to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Undertake sleep-in duties as part of the home's rota
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with company policy, regulations, and statutory requirements

Requirements:

  • Hold a current valid full driving license
  • Previous residential childcare experience is essential (not nursery/early years)
  • Possessing a Level 3 in Children's and Young People's Workforce is desirable
  • Be able to work on a shift/rota basis
  • Happy to undergo an enhanced DBS certificate upon appointment
