Our efforts are crucial for enabling HS2 trains to connect London and Birmingham, as well as extending their service to Manchester.
This is an exhilarating moment to join our team as we reach peak construction, with extensive work underway on a diverse array of structures, including bridges, tunnels, and viaducts. You would be part of a diverse workforce of 9,000 individuals from 72 different nationalities engaged in this remarkable section of HS2.
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Engagement and Interface Manager within our Stakeholder Engagement team.
This position will involve working on-site in various locations within the project area.
Role Overview:
- To implement the community engagement and interface function within your designated area, supporting the execution of HS2's community engagement strategy, commitments, and interface requirements. This includes fostering an integrated team approach with HS2 and other contractors' representatives.
- To collaborate effectively within the joint venture team and with key stakeholders, under the guidance of the Senior Engagement & Interface Manager, to create, plan, execute, and assess impactful stakeholder engagement and interface strategies that enhance the reputation of the HS2 Project, the Balfour Beatty VINCI joint venture, and its parent companies.
- To cultivate and sustain mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor on engagement matters.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven ability to manage, engage, and develop team members.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with strong management and coordination capabilities.
- Experience in community relations and stakeholder management.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literate. Candidates must possess a valid right to work in the UK.
