Job Title: Compliance Analyst

At Honda Motor Europe, we are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Analyst to join our team. As a Compliance Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business operations are in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the Compliance Manager in ensuring that Honda Motor Europe meets its legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Provide expert regulatory advice and guidance to the business on a range of compliance topics, including Consumer Duty, credit broking requirements, and Data Protection.
  • Undertake monitoring and testing activities to assess the effectiveness of regulatory and conduct risk control processes in place.
  • Produce written reports of monitoring outcomes, review findings, and action plans.
  • Review and support the business to log breaches and incidents, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on complaints, breaches, and incidents data to identify themes and emerging risks.
  • Assist in overseeing risk management activity at both departmental and business-wide level.
  • Review and update applicable policies, processes, and procedures, overseeing the implementation of these as appropriate.
  • Provide sign-off of marketing materials and customer communications in accordance with FCA rules and guidance.
  • Assist with the collation of risk and compliance Management Information for reporting to senior management and the Board.
Requirements:
  • Detailed technical knowledge and FCA Handbooks, including CONC, DISP, PRIN, and SYSC, legislative frameworks such as AML and Data Protection, and understanding of industry best practice standards.
  • Understanding of the foundational principles of risk management and associated processes.
  • Strong up-to-date regulatory knowledge with the ability to interpret and assess the applicability of regulatory rules and standards to Honda Motor Europe.
Experience:
  • Previous experience working within a compliance and/or risk department of a FCA-regulated company, preferably gained within the motor industry.
  • Practical understanding and experience of the FCA's expectations in relation to customer outcomes and treatment of vulnerable customers.
  • Involvement with compliance monitoring activities, carrying out testing and thematic reviews.
Skills:
  • Ability to analyse and translate regulations into policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Effective communicator, able to discuss regulatory compliance matters clearly and concisely with stakeholders at all levels within the business.
  • Ability to draft documents/reports to a high standard.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels to achieve appropriate customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Good knowledge and use of Microsoft Office programs and IT environments.
Qualifications/Training:
  • Compliance, Risk, and/or other relevant regulatory qualifications (ICA or similar).
