About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Brooke Weston Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our catering team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our students
  • Manage the kitchen team and ensure effective workflow and productivity
  • Monitor and control food costs and inventory
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Kitchen Manager in a similar setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of nutrition and food safety

Salary: BWT Grade 6, point 16, full time equivalent (FTE) salary- £27,200 pro rata-£23,365.85

Hours per week / Weeks per year: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 6.45am - 2.45pm, with a 30 minute unpaid break, 39 weeks per year.
