Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Software Engineering to join our Technology team at SThree. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for directing the definition, implementation, and improvement of our enterprise systems, planning and leading software construction activities, and driving adoption and adherence to policies and standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • • Define and implement SThree's enterprise systems strategy
    • Plan and lead software development initiatives, adapting or developing organisational capabilities
    • Drive adherence to policies and standards across the organisation
    • Align software development activities with business strategies and objectives
    • Develop and maintain SThree's software development standards, policies, methods, procedures, and guidelines
    • Oversee existing software process improvement approaches and/or develop new approaches
    • Ensure coherent and consistent implementation of software development activities


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • • A bachelor's degree level education and relevant professional qualification
    • At least 7 years' experience in software engineering, solution design, and product development across the entire SDLC and operational phases
    • Strong technical understanding of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications and/or other bespoke software
    • Knowledge of different development approaches
