Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Primary School setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN and be able to build strong relationships with both pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a pupil with SEN on a 1:1 basis, providing individualized attention and care.
  • Manage challenging behavior in a positive and proactive manner, using strategies to promote pupil progress.
  • Collaborate with Class Teachers to develop and implement effective learning plans.
  • Prepare resources and materials for learning activities and lessons.
  • Supervise pupils during break times and lunchtimes, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (ideally on the Update Service).
  • Recognized Childcare-based qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Resilient and proactive approach to supporting pupils with SEN.
  • Experience working in a school setting, preferably with pupils with SEN.
