Reed is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join their team in Plymouth. As a key member of the HR team, you will provide generalist support to employees, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

About the Role:

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will be responsible for providing advice and support to line managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation. This includes Performance Management, Capability, Discipline, and Grievance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in compliance with occupational health and safety and environmental legislation, relevant regulations, and recognised industry guidance to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of self and others always.
  • Provide advice and support to key stakeholders on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Act as a focal point for all stakeholders regarding any issues relating to conditions of employment, salary, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Proactively case manage live employee relations issues.
  • Provide advice and assistance for all immigration issues, ensuring compliance with UKBA licence requirements.
  • Act as a focal point for long-term absence case management to ensure a timely return to work where appropriate.
  • Support with resourcing and recruitment by understanding recruitment needs, building job descriptions, raising requisitions on our HR System, conducting interviews, and any other ad-hoc recruitment requests.
  • Support reorganisation, redeployment, redundancy, and TUPE transfer projects.
  • Provide support in the preparation of Employment Tribunal documentation.
  • Conduct Exit Interviews.
  • Provide advice and support on more complex compensation and benefit queries, including collation of insurance claim and renewal data.
  • Support and assist with HR projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including clients and other construction trades.
  • Carry out continuous professional development to maintain knowledge of current and future developments affecting the role.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience within a HR/People Advisor role looking for the next step.
  • Knowledge of UK Employment Law and Legislation.
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 required.

Successful candidates will be subject to Security Clearance and a DBS.
