Job Title: Technical Instructor/Assistant Practitioner

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Technical Instructor/Assistant Practitioner to join our team. As a Technical Instructor/Assistant Practitioner, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to support patients in their own homes and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in the delivery of rehabilitation services
  • Undertake non-complex assessments and carry out treatment plans under the direction of therapists
  • Work with patients in their own homes and community settings, including Longridge Hospital
  • Travel to carry out home visits
Requirements:
  • Assistant Practitioner Qualification or equivalent
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Knowledge of long term conditions, mental illness and disability
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, organise own time and workload
  • Proven problem solving and clinical reasoning skills
  • Able to work independently, demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
