ProTalent is currently working with a worldwide business with offices in Lewes, looking for a skilled professional to join their Finance Team as a Purchase Ledger Assistant. The company offers an attractive salary package of £20-30k, depending on experience, along with a contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance, and 30 days holiday per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inputting purchase invoices to the finance system and verifying their accuracy.
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and ensuring they have been correctly coded and approved.
  • Reconciling supplier statements, filing invoices, and resolving supplier queries in a timely manner.
  • Processing expenses and credit card payments efficiently.
  • Preparing BACs payments for authorisation and ensuring seamless financial transactions.
  • Recording and maintaining prepayments to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Providing support in other ad-hoc duties as required by the team.

Essential Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, industry, or practice bookkeeping.
  • Being highly organised, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships.
  • Excellent team player with a flexible approach to meeting deadlines.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office applications, with a strong understanding of financial systems.
