We are seeking an experienced Strategic Safeguarding Coordinator to join our team at Lewisham's Safeguarding Children Partnership.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for jointly leading the delivery of the operations of the Safeguarding Children Partnership, including managing the LSCP strategic business planning processes and ensuring the operation of the LSCP, the Executive Partnership, and sub/task groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement strategic business plans to promote good outcomes for safeguarding children.
  2. Manage the operation of the LSCP, including coordinating meetings and ensuring effective communication among partnership members.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of policies and procedures.
  4. Conduct quality assurance and auditing of organisations to ensure compliance with safeguarding standards.
  5. Provide project management support to ensure the successful delivery of projects and initiatives.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant professional qualification and/or substantial experience in the delivery of multi-agency services strategy and policy formation.
  • Substantial management experience of social care services for children or similar in Social Services or Health.
  • Significant experience of policy and procedure drafting and implementation.
  • Knowledge and experience of evaluation, quality assurance, and auditing of organisations.
  • Effective project management skills.
