Job Title: MEP Senior Cost Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Senior Cost Manager to join our Real Estate team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading on the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) specific deliverables within a larger project or leading direct MEP commissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission Management: Assist on feasibility studies, write procurement reports, estimate and cost plan, tender and procure, manage post-contract cost variances, and negotiate final accounts.
  • Cost Management: Take personal responsibility for making cost checks, carrying out valuations, producing monthly post-contract cost reports, and presenting them to clients.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a cost management team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services across the full project lifecycle.
  • Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) or working towards.
  • Degree or HNC level qualification.
  • Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Experience in delivering MEP elements of work for clients.
  • Knowledge and contacts within the MEP supply chain.
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills.
  • Excellent people person and great communicator.
