Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lawyer to join our team at Project People. As a key member of our in-house legal team, you will provide expert legal support and guidance to our Sales, Commercial, and Communications/Marketing teams on all types of commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on commercial matters, including contract drafting and negotiation, intellectual property, and technology.
  • Work closely with our Senior Commercial Counsel to manage high-value and high-priority transactions, external legal suppliers, and external legal spend.
  • Support the Senior Commercial Counsel in driving innovation and efficiency in the commercial legal process.
  • Build strong working relationships with our business teams, external contacts, including Shareholder and Customer legal teams.

Requirements:

  • UK qualified solicitor with a background in practicing commercial law.
  • Breadth of commercial contract experience.
  • 3-6 years' PQ experience in commercial transactions.
  • Experience working within a busy in-house legal team.
  • Solicitor admitted to the role with a current practicing certificate.
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Good initiative with ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Proven approach to innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Experience with Technology, Marketing, and IP contracts.
