Job Overview:
Mental health support specialists play a vital role in promoting the well-being of children in educational settings. This position at Academics Ltd involves working closely with students who face mental health challenges, providing individualized support to enhance their learning experience.

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum

About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and empathetic professional to join our team as a Mental Health Assistant. The successful candidate will work with children who require additional support due to various mental health conditions. Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages students to express themselves freely.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting children's behavior and emotional well-being in the classroom
* Working collaboratively with teachers to develop tailored support plans for individual students
* Providing one-to-one support or small group sessions to help students overcome specific challenges
* Maintaining accurate records of student progress and feedbacking to teachers and senior staff

Requirements:
* A degree in Psychology or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* Experience working with children who have ASD, ADHD, or other special needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
