About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate social worker to join our Duty and Assessment Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, engaging in direct safeguarding work, and participating in strategy discussions to protect the wellbeing and safety of young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct visits to children and their families to assess their needs and develop plans to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  • Complete assessments and engage in direct safeguarding work to protect children from harm.
  • Participate in strategy discussions to develop and implement plans to support children and families.
  • Facilitate safety planning and conduct Section 17 Single Assessments and Section 47 enquiries.
  • Work with children and young people on a short-term basis after the initial referral until cases transfer to other teams.
About You

We are looking for a qualified and registered social worker who has completed their ASYE and has a commitment to delivering best practice and support to children, young people, and families. As an effective communicator, you will be able to build positive relationships with a diverse range of children, young people, and families.
