We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Outpatients Department team. As a Band 5 General Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the efficient running of the department.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver safe and effective patient-centred care to service users, their families, and carers.
- Ensure the clinical care requirements of patients are communicated effectively.
- Supervise, develop, and mentor newly qualified staff, non-qualified staff, students, volunteers, etc.
- Participate in clinics, acting as a chaperone when required.
- Ensure patient records are kept up to date, accurate, and in line with the Trust's Record Keeping Policy.
- Undertake Link Worker training and act as a Link worker for a specific role (e.g., Basic Life Support, Infection Control, Fire, etc.) and support the HCAs training, including attending meetings pertaining to their speciality on behalf of their Team and disseminating information back via Team meetings.
- Undertake clinical audits to identify and improve patient safety and care.
- Conduct patient satisfaction surveys and respond accordingly.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of patient-centred care and a commitment to delivering high-quality care are essential.
