Rullion Limited is looking for an exceptional Fault Studies Engineer to join its team in Bristol. This is a hybrid working opportunity, offering a competitive salary of approximately £65,000 depending on experience.
Job OverviewThis role involves conducting thorough fault studies and severe accident assessments of light water moderated reactors and systems. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating the reactor core, reactor coolant system, engineered safety features, and containment, for both design basis accidents and beyond design basis accidents.
You will be responsible for:
- Undertaking electrical engineering assessments of power plant systems.
- Contributing to the development of the Fault Studies and Severe Accidents safety case sections of the Safety Case for submission in the SMR GDA.
- Providing coaching and mentoring to develop the team and individuals in technical and personal skills.
- Delivering presentations to internal and external organizations, including nuclear regulators.
- Defending reactor design positions.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A degree in an engineering or science-related discipline.
- Proven knowledge of fault studies and principles of thermodynamics.
- A deep understanding of thermal hydraulic behavior of nuclear reactors.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
