Job Overview

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of capital projects and provide expert advice on property and construction matters. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for commissioning, project managing, and delivering Trust capital projects to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of feasibility studies and project briefs, working closely with stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Manage departmental project staff and external professional consultants, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide expert advice to key stakeholders on property and construction matters, ensuring compliance with national and local policies and standards.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities and external partners to secure planning approvals and necessary consents.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure successful delivery of capital projects.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong track record in project management, capital delivery, and estates management. You will have a Master's degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in a relevant field, such as building surveying, engineering, or construction. Chartered membership of a relevant institution is also essential. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
