We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at BYLOR Joint Venture. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Guidance: Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on health and safety regulations, legislation, and policies.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate hazards and risks to minimize occupational risk on site.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.
  • Investigations and Reporting: Conduct thorough investigations and produce comprehensive reports on incidents and near-misses.
  • Safety Management Systems: Ensure project teams are implementing the relevant parts of the BYLOR safety management systems (SMS) and identify corrective action where required.
  • Subcontractor Management: Assess and manage subcontractors to ensure they meet health and safety standards.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and coaching to project teams on health and safety best practices.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Relevant experience in health and safety within a construction environment, environmental knowledge, and understanding of HSE&E legislation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and coaching skills, ability to work within a team environment, and a professional image.
  • Education and Qualifications: Recognized HSE qualifications, such as NEBOSH.
