About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microbiological Technologist to join our team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our Microbiology Team, you will provide technical expertise and support to our Manager/Technical Expert.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule work within the team, using OE tools to plan workload and maintain schedules.
  • Create documentation, methods, procedures, protocols, and reports to agreed targets.
  • Manage and document investigations, demonstrating problem-solving tools and ensuring appropriate CAPA is in place.
  • Represent Microbiology by liaising efficiently and effectively with Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Logistics, and Project Teams.
  • Provide clear, reliable, and timely decision-making skills, supporting audit readiness and representing the site in areas of technical expertise.
  • Undertake training of staff to achieve high standards, providing ongoing coaching and mentoring in areas of technical expertise.
Requirements
  • BSc Microbiology or related degree.
  • Track record of coaching and mentoring others in technical areas.
  • Expert knowledge in at least three areas of Pharmaceutical Microbiology.
  • Track record of completing deviation and laboratory investigations.
  • Quality report writing.
  • Planning capability.
