Bawso is a leading organization in Wales providing vital support to black minority ethnic (BME) and migrant victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, human trafficking, Female Genital Mutilation, and forced marriage.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Relief Support Worker to join our team in Newport. The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of Bawso's work, with a particular focus on the welfare of women and their children in our refuge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional and practical support to BME and migrant victims of domestic abuse
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure the well-being of women and children in the refuge
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve services
