Job Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Children's Home Registered Manager to lead our team in Newton-Le-Willows. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for the children in our residential home.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare professional to take their career to the next level. As a Children's Home Registered Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing Comprehensive Care Plans: Create tailored plans that address the unique needs of each young person, including their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
- Fostering a Positive Team Environment: Work collaboratively with our recruitment teams to build a strong team, complete company inductions, and personal development plans to ensure familiar faces for the young people.
- Collaborating with Stakeholders: Partner with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people and provide a supportive environment.
- Maintaining High Standards: Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with our quality standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
- Handling Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for addressing any complaints or child protection concerns, providing a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
Your Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Relevant Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in residential childcare, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
- Qualifications: A Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential, and a Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred. You must also have knowledge of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge and Skills: Efficient planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership skills are essential. You should also have effective spoken and written communication skills and a deep understanding of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.
