Job Summary

We are looking for a Supplier Partnership Specialist to join our team at Essex Police and Kent Police. As a key member of our commercial function, you will develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, ensuring value for money for the 7 police forces across the east of England.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and/or supporting complex commercial negotiations with key suppliers, promoting innovation and achieving best value. They will also address and enforce sanctions for poor performance and assist in defending the relevant Force(s) from contractual claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage commercial relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • Lead and/or support complex commercial negotiations with key suppliers.
  • Address and enforce sanctions for poor performance.
  • Assist in defending the relevant Force(s) from contractual claims.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need good commercial acumen, a track record of supplier relationship management, and proven success in negotiations and resolving contractual disputes. Significant knowledge and understanding of current contract law and the application of EU Public Procurement Regulations and legislation is also essential.

Salary and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £48,339 per annum (pro-rata for part-time vacancies), plus a range of benefits including flexible working hours and access to training and development opportunities.
