Job Summary:

Hampshire County Council is seeking a skilled Technical Officer to provide general and technical support to the Highway Operations Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for facility management and health and safety within the Hook depot, as well as supporting the technical team with enquiries and feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the Highway Operations Centre, including facility management and health and safety.
  • Support the technical team with enquiries and feedback on resource issues and pressures.
  • Develop excellent relationships with support staff, engineers, and technical teams.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including elected members and the public.
  • Manage data to a high degree of accuracy and provide reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with computer systems and data management.
  • Interest in and appreciation for highway engineering and the management of large road networks.
