Job Title: Senior Finance Director

Job Summary:

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Finance Director to lead their finance team in a dynamic and challenging role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, leadership, and management, with a proven track record of driving financial performance and improving collection rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the finance team, ensuring the effective management of public funds and the achievement of financial targets.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the efficient handling of transactions and the delivery of high-quality financial reports.
  • Fiscal Oversight: Maintain stringent audit controls and ensure the proper management of public funds, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to drive improved collection rates and financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and concise information on financial performance and trends.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with Private Equity (PE) houses and Venture Capitalists (VCs) as needed, providing financial information and insights to support business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, with a strong background in finance, leadership, and management.
  • Strong understanding of audit controls and fiscal management of public money, with a proven track record of compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and support remote teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a focus on improving financial performance and driving business growth.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting financial reports to various stakeholders, with a strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex information effectively.
  • Proven track record of initiative and dynamic thinking in previous roles, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Experience in dealing with PE houses and VCs is highly desirable.
