We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a primary school in the Nelson area. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to provide high-quality support to children of all abilities and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in the whole-class environment to promote learning and engagement.
  • Lead intervention groups in Phonics and Mathematics, working closely with the class teacher to develop tailored support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the school's senior leadership team to contribute to the development of a broad and balanced creative curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Committed to providing high-calibre support to children of all abilities and needs.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of children.
  • Punctual with excellent attendance and a commitment to the role and school.
