Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our team at Shrewsbury School. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of daily dining services and coordinating special events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily front of house operations, ensuring a high standard of service is maintained.
  • Supervise and train front of house staff to ensure efficient and courteous service.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of meals.
  • Maintain a welcoming and orderly dining environment.
  • Monitor inventory of front of house supplies and coordinate with the Dining Services Manager to ensure adequate stock.
Special Events
  • Plan and supervise the execution of special occasions, including formal balls and themed dinners.
  • Collaborate with event organisers to finalise event details.
  • Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all elements are in place and functioning as needed.
  • Lead the front of house team during events, ensuring smooth service flow and addressing any issues in real-time.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to during events.
