Job Overview
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Head and Neck Surgical Oncology Fellow to join our team. This is a fixed-term post for a duration of months, and the post holder should be post-CCT. The successful candidate will have experience of working within the NHS and a good command of the English language.
Main Duties
The post holder will gain specialist training in head and neck oncology, ENT elective and emergency care, with a general out-of-hours on-call commitment. They will provide a specialist head and neck ENT service at secondary care level, including leading ward rounds, assessing patients, investigating potential malignancy, and presenting and assessing at MDT.
Clinical Responsibilities
The post holder will participate in an emergency service cover out of hours at registrar level and will be required to attend the Head and Neck MDT on a regular basis. They will also run the head and neck fast-track neck lump service.
Teaching and Research
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a teaching hospital trust, and the post-holder will be required to participate in programmes for teaching clinical students, training junior doctors, and in clinical examinations. This will be an integral part of everyday clinical activity.
